The Acorn is a quadruplex rental home with shared common area neighboring MTSU. Designed for graduate students, it offers a quiet, clean, safe, smoke-free, home-like environment that provides privacy as well as opportunity for community. All basic needs are furnished (beds, tables, lamps, etc.), but each of the four private spaces can be individualized.

Base utility costs are paid while tenants split overage between them, providing an incentive to keep costs down.

All basic needs are furnished, but each private space may be personalized and secured with a digital lock.

There are many indoor common living areas as well as outdoor areas to be enjoyed by tenants.

The Acorn house is a historic Victorian cottage that dates back to the late 1860’s. It was initially used as the late Dr. Maney’s medical office, associated with the Oakland Mansion. It’s original beauty has been preserved and enhanced with modern updates.
